Application deadline. Cover letter and resume must be submitted.

14 November
The applicants chosen to compete are notified by email.

25 November
The business case is presented at 7 AM. Location to be announced (on campus). You will be given a full schedule of the day before hand.

January 2020
The winning team is revealed during the prize ceremony. Date and location to be announced (on campus).

Faq

Who's behind Ramo Academy?
Ramo Group is a mechanical components supplier and logistics partner with offices in both Sweden and China. Through Ramo Academy they want to improve the students knowledge of the Chinese market and its business opportunities.

Who's eligible to enter?
Every student at who’s currently on their third semester on one of the following programs:

  • Civilekonom
  • International Management
  • Marketing Management
  • International Economics

What will the competition consist of?
You will compete by solving a business case presented by Ramo Group and The Case Academy from Jönköping International Business School.

How do I register?
Register by sending an email to Case Academy. Attach your CV and a cover letter where you motivate why you should be one to compete. Also include your name, student ID and contact information.

Who will judge my work?
You will present your solution to the business case to representatives from Ramo Group and a number of outside business profiles along with a panel of students and teachers from Jönköping International Business School.

What do I win?
You win an internship position at Ramo Group offices in Ningbo, China. The internship will take place during your fifth semester and will be accredited to your curriculum by Jönköping International Business School according to the internship course syllabus. Ramo group will pay for your accommodation in Ningbo as well as your flights tickets and provide you with a course in Mandarin.

What will the internship consist of?
The internship will start of with three weeks at Ramo Groups office in Värnamo. Then you will spend five weeks at their office in Ningbo, China. Lastly, you will spend two weeks writing a report and present the result of said report at Ramo Groups offices in Värnamo.

Will the internship focus on economics, marketing or logistics?
That depends on the students that wins the internship. Ramo Group will tailor the internship around you and your area of interests. Remember that you will have to get your position approved by the internship examiner at Jönköping International Business School according to the course syllabus and the academic work within the internship towards Jönköping International Business School is conducted on an individual basis.

Will I have time to travel in China?
Yes. You will be given a rebookable flight ticket and will have time to travel around during whole of November and parts of December.
